We met in 2018, both of us were attending university in the city of Yogyakarta. At first, we were just acquaintances, but over time, we got to know each other better through our involvement in the same campus organization. The long meetings and shared projects allowed us to spend more time together, and soon, our casual conversations turned into something more meaningful.

There was something about the way we connected—natural and effortless. It wasn’t long before we realized that our feelings had grown beyond just friendship. From Our study sessions to weekend adventures exploring the hidden gems of Yogyakarta, we found ourselves sharing more than just our time, but also our dreams and hopes for the future.
Little did we know that our encounter in 2018 would be the beginning of a beautiful journey.

After our time in university came to an end, we were separated by our hometowns. The distance and the different paths we took made it difficult to stay close, but we never lost contact. Even though we were miles apart, our connection remained strong.

Then, a year later, life brought us back together in an unexpected way. We both ended up finding work in Tangerang Selatan and decided to live there. Being reunited felt like a second chance to continue our story, one that had been put on hold but never truly ended.

On June 23, 2024, I made the biggest decision of my life. I proposed to Salma, on her birthday, as a gift that I hoped would last a lifetime. It felt like the perfect moment, a celebration of everything we had been through together and everything we were looking forward to in the future.

And She Said Yes.
